The accommodation

Sheepscombe House is situated at the head of the stunning
Snowshill Valley in the North Cotswolds with spectacular views across several
counties.
Our en-suite bedrooms are beautifully appointed and offer the very best in comfort. Two of the bedrooms have their own private entrance giving our guests extra privacy and independence.
We are in an ideal position to explore the Cotswolds, Bath, Oxford and Stratford-on-Avon. We are only 600 metres from the Cotswold Way and there are many beautiful short as well as longer walks from here.
and for breakfast!

Breakfast is served on a big table in our antique furnished
dining room. My husband Tim and I enjoy sitting with our guests after their
breakfast to chat and answer questions about our farm and the Cotswolds. We
serve a selection of cereals, fruit, fruit juices, toasts, local honey, and
hand made preserves with tea or fresh ground coffee.
Our traditional English Breakfast features bacon and sausage from locally reared Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, eggs (scrambled, poached or fried) from my own hens with local mushrooms and tomatoes when in season.
Questions and answers
- Whats your favourite breakfast?
- I love to sit down and enjoy scrambled eggs (made from delicious eggs laid by the hens in our garden) with crispy grilled bacon (from locally reared Gloucester Old Spot pigs.) Follow this with hot buttered toast and home made marmalade Magic!
- What did you do before becoming a landlady/landlord?
- Before running our B&B, as well as farming, my husband, Tim, and I ran our delicatessen shop and mail order food company for 14 years. We specialised in bespoke food hampers as well as producing a brochure of special hampers as personal and corporate gifts. In our shop we sold a huge variety of foods including locally made cheeses, cakes, meringues, smoked fish and preserves.
- What makes your B&B special?
- We think our B&B is so special because of the fantastic rural views that you can see from our house, the quality of the accommodation which we offer and the help we give to our guests. We are situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Snowshill, at the head of The Snowshill Valley.
- What do you enjoy most about running a B&B?
- The most enjoyable part of B&B are our guests. We have made many friends, from Britain and all over the world, with charming people whose company we have so enjoyed.
- How long have you been running your B&B?
- We opened our B&B in 2001, so this is our 5th year. We are very pleased to have been awarded a Gold Award which reflects our commitment to quality and the care of our guests. We have learned a lot during this time and feel that we give our guests a very happy stay with us.
