The accommodation

BrymboCornflower: bedroom
Brymbo Bed and Breakfast is a comfortable farm building conversion, set in tranquil surroundings in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. Situated close to Stratford upon Avon, Broadway and Chipping Campden, with easy access to Oxford and Cheltenham, it provides an ideal base for walking and touring in the Cotswolds, and visiting the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. There is a large garden with parking for visitors. Children and well behaved pets are welcome. All accommodation is on the ground floor with full central heating; one of the sitting rooms has an open log fire and the other has panoramic views, whilst the breakfast room shares the views and enjoys the morning sunshine, subject to the English weather of course!

…and for breakfast!

Question and answers

What’s your favourite breakfast?
We both enjoy a full English breakfast when we've got the time to sit and savour it.
What did you do before becoming a landlady/landlord?
Barry still has his haulage business – mostly collecting wheat, barley &c. from farms – and goes along there when he’s cooked the breakfast. Gen’e left the Inland Revenue 14 years ago, and greatly prefers the comfortable, friendly atmosphere of the B&B.
What makes your B&B special?
Our breakfasts not only include the expected locally grown and prepared ingredients, but there are also up to 16 different home made jams, jellies and marmalades on the table, to try on our 3 varieties of home made bread and toast. Some of the preserves contain fruits etc in combinations you may not have come across before, and our guests enjoy trying them all – we get through a lot of our fresh homemade bread and toast during breakfast !
What do you enjoy most about running a B&B?
Welcoming people from everywhere, to our home and this beautiful area, and then helping them to find the “hidden places” which make the Cotswolds so special, but so many people overlook. The most rewarding aspect of the B&B is our guests, who meet and are chatting within minutes, exchanging information and experiences. Our regular guests (whether they are from Britain or the rest of the world) are disappointed if we have no visitors from other countries.
How long have you been running your B&B?
We first put out our sign on Good Friday 1990, and have enjoyed all the last 16 years.
